
International Atomic Energy AgencyTeam in Ghana to access Nuclear Energy preparation

A team from the International Atomic Energy Agency, is in the country to review the progress Ghana has made in its preparedness on nuclear and radiological emergency plan.
The team will be in Ghana for ten days. They are expected to identify weaknesses in the Country’s emergency response plan and help address them.
They will also help upgrade Ghana’s infrastructure in nuclear and radiology to international standards.
At a briefing session in Accra, the Deputy National NADMO Coordinator, in charge of Technical, Ebenezer Dosoo asked the Ghanaian counterparts to collaborate with the International team, so they can find the best acceptable response plan for nuclear and radiological emergencies.
