ENERGY MINISTER SWEARS IN NEW ECG MD, INSTRUCTS HIM TO ADVANCE THE COMPANY’S DIRECTION.

Energy Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh swore in Samuel Dubik Mahama as the new Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

This inauguration follows H.E. the President’s appointment of Mr. Mahama, a former member of the Board, as Managing Director.

Mr. Mahama has been appointed to replace Mr. Kwame Agyeman-Budu, who has retired.

Mr. Mahama enters the picture at a time when the ECG is undergoing reforms and pursuing Ghanaians for stealing electricity.

He is expected to assist the organisation generate revenue.

On that day, the Minister also administered Mrs. Nana Nsafoah’s oath of office as a member of the ECG Board.

While administering Mrs. Nsafoah’s oath of office, the minister stated that as a new face, he expects her wealth of expertise to benefit the company.
